Putra Laser Skin Excellence Centre (PULSE) is a Centre of Excellence under Hospital Sultan Abdul Aziz Shah (HSAAS), Universiti Putra Malaysia (UPM), dedicated to dermatology, dermatologic surgery, laser technologies, and evidence-based aesthetic medicine. PULSE integrates advanced clinical services, management of complex skin disorders, Mohs Micrographic Surgery, translational research, professional education, and industry-driven innovation within a comprehensive academic healthcare ecosystem. Supported by multidisciplinary expertise and state-of-the-art technologies, PULSE serves as a national and regional referral centre for skin diseases, skin cancer, dermatologic procedures, laser treatments, and the management of aesthetic complications.

Scope of services and areas of expertise offered: General dermatology and management of complex referral cases Procedural dermatology and dermatologic surgery Mohs Micrographic Surgery for skin cancer Dermatologic laser treatments (pigmentary disorders, vascular lesions, acne, scars, and skin rejuvenation) Evidence-based aesthetic medicine Management of complications arising from aesthetic procedures Hair and nail disorders Patch testing and contact dermatitis services Paediatric dermatology (under development) Clinical and translational dermatology research
