The Unit of Urology, under the Department of Surgery, Universiti Putra Malaysia (UPM), was established in 2015. In 2020, it was upgraded to the Department of Urology under the leadership of Associate Professor Dato' Dr. Khairul Asri Mohd Ghani.

The Department of Urology is committed to excellence in the delivery of specialised medical and surgical care across all major areas of urology. We provide comprehensive urological services supported by a wide range of advanced technologies, including the da Vinci® Robotic Surgical System, the Koelis Trinity™ MRI-US Fusion Prostate Biopsy System, REZUM™ Water Vapor Therapy for benign prostatic enlargement, and many other state-of-the-art treatment modalities.
