Hospital Sultan Abdul Aziz Shah (HSAAS), Universiti Putra Malaysia organised the World Nurses Day Celebration 2026 on 12 May 2026 as a tribute to the dedication, sacrifices, and commitment of nurses in delivering quality, professional, and compassionate healthcare services to the community. The celebration, held in a lively and appreciative atmosphere, brought together HSAAS staff to recognise the important role of nurses as a key pillar in the healthcare delivery system.

The event featured various meaningful activities including abstract presentations on nursing research, talks on nurses’ mental wellbeing and professionalism in nursing, a special montage presentation, choir performances, and several special performances by HSAAS nursing staff. In addition, awards were presented to outstanding nurses and excellent units in recognition of their achievements, commitment, and contributions in providing the best healthcare services to patients.

The celebration was further enlivened by the presence of the Registrar of Universiti Putra Malaysia, Mr. Muhazam Mansor, who attended to express support and appreciation for the HSAAS nursing community. His presence reflected the university’s recognition of the significant role nurses play in ensuring quality and effective healthcare services.

The organisation of this celebration not only served as a platform to appreciate nurses, but also strengthened teamwork, professionalism, and motivation among nursing staff to continue delivering excellent healthcare services for the wellbeing of patients and the community.
