VICE-CHANCELLOR’S 2026 MESSAGE AND MANDATE CEREMONY @ FPSK–HSAAS

SERDANG, 11 February 2026 – The Vice-Chancellor’s 2026 Message and Mandate Ceremony was successfully held at 2.00 p.m. at the Auditorium of Hospital Sultan Abdul Aziz Shah (HSAAS), Universiti Putra Malaysia (UPM). The event brought together members of the Faculty of Medicine and Health Sciences (FPSK) and HSAAS as an official platform to hear the strategic direction and aspirations of the university for 2026.

The ceremony was officiated by the Vice-Chancellor of UPM, YBhg. Dato’ Prof. Ir. Dr. Ahmad Farhan Mohd Sadullah. In his address, he emphasized the importance of sustaining the university’s excellence under the theme “Sustaining True North: Reaching the Peak.” The theme reflects the university’s continued commitment to upholding its core principles, values, and strategic direction, while striving for higher levels of achievement in academics, research, innovation, and service.

He also called upon all members of FPSK–HSAAS to strengthen a high-performance work culture grounded in integrity and customer focus. Emphasis was placed on cross-disciplinary collaboration, talent empowerment, and the delivery of high-quality healthcare and educational services to meet the needs of society and the nation.

During the ceremony, key achievements, current developments, and strategic plans for 2026 were shared, including medium- and long-term initiatives aimed at positioning UPM more prominently at both national and international levels. The session provided clarity on the institution’s direction and served as guidance for staff in aligning their respective plans and actions.

The ceremony also served to reinforce unity and collective commitment among staff in navigating the increasingly dynamic landscape of higher education and healthcare services. The orderly and engaged atmosphere reflected the community’s dedication to supporting the university’s aspirations.

Sincere appreciation and gratitude were extended to all staff members who attended and contributed to the success of the event. It is hoped that the key messages and aspirations shared by the Vice-Chancellor will inspire all members of FPSK–HSAAS to further strengthen service delivery beyond expectations, and to propel UPM towards greater heights of excellence.
