Hospital Sultan Abdul Aziz Shah UPM extends its heartiest congratulations to Dr. Muhammad Aizuddin bin Abdu Mokfi on his outstanding achievement in winning First Place in the Case Report Poster Presentation Category at the Academy of Family Physicians of Malaysia - Annual Scientific Conference 2026 (ASC2026), which took place at The Everly Putrajaya from 17 to 19 April 2026. ASC2026 brought together healthcare professionals, educators, and policymakers from across the country under the theme “Redefining Family Medicine with Digital Health Technology.” The conference emphasized the expanding role of digital technology in primary healthcare, particularly involving artificial intelligence (AI), telehealth, electronic medical record (EMR) integration, precision medicine, and AI-based research. While technology is rapidly advancing in the medical field, the conference also stressed that technology should enhance the quality of care without compromising the core values of family medicine, namely compassion, continuity of care, and patient-centered care. The opening ceremony was officiated by Dato’ Dr Norsiah binti Ali, symbolizing the nation's ongoing commitment to digital transformation in primary healthcare. The poster presentation by Dr. Muhammad Aizuddin, titled “When Nightmares Signal Disease – A Rare Sleep-Related Presentation of Paediatric Graves’ Disease,” received recognition for its clinical value and contribution to medical practice. The conference also featured various pre-conference workshops focusing on clinical and academic skill development, including the use of point-of-care ultrasound (POCUS), trauma-informed care, conjoint exam preparation, and peer review skills. This achievement reflects the dedication, academic excellence, and commitment of the hospital community toward a culture of continuous learning and research in the field of family medicine.
