The Family Therapy Symposium 2025, titled ‘2-Day Live Consultation & Lecture by Professor Maurizio Andolfi’, was held at Hospital Sultan Abdul Aziz Shah (HSAAS) on 28–29 April 2025, featuring keynote speaker Professor Maurizio Andolfi from the Accademia di Psicoterapia della Famiglia in Rome, Italy.

The symposium highlighted a multigenerational family therapy approach for families, couples, or children facing various psychological issues or psychiatric disorders. Additionally, unique practical learning techniques were incorporated through lectures, dialogues, live consultations, and therapeutic processes involving real families and married couples.

The program successfully attracted more than 211 participants, including psychiatrists, clinical psychologists, counsellors, and allied mental health professionals from both Malaysia and abroad, including countries such as China, Taiwan, Singapore, Indonesia, and Australia.

The symposium was officiated by the Chief Operating Officer (COO) of Hospital Sultan Abdul Aziz Shah (HSAAS), Associate Professor Dr Nor Fadhlina Zakaria.
