The Ministry of Science, Technology and Innovation (MOSTI) and Academy of Sciences Malaysia (ASM) are pleased to announce that the Malaysia Science Endowment (MSE) x International Science Partnership Fund (ISPF) Research Collaboration Grant is calling for research proposals!
Malaysia Science Endowment (MSE) is an initiative by MOSTI and ASM to sustain the national R&D funding. Through MSE, the Malaysian Government collaborates with the government of the United Kingdom (UK) to jointly implement the MSE x ISPF Research Collaboration Grant. This grant aims to foster innovation and knowledge exchange between both countries.
Eligible researchers from Malaysia and the UK can jointly apply for the MSE x ISPF Research Collaboration Grant which grants up to GBP 180,000 (approx. RM 1,060,000) per project to support collaborative research.
The MSE x ISPF Research Collaboration Grant focuses on these thematic areas:
- Resilient Planet: Leading the green industrial revolution to protect the planet.
- Transformative Technologies: Developing responsible technologies to secure our place in tomorrow’s world.
- Healthy People, Animals, and Plants: Researching and Innovating for secure and healthy populations.
- Tomorrow’s Talent: Nurturing talent to drive inclusion, research, and innovation.
Research proposals are encouraged:
- To be at Technology Readiness Level (TRL) 4 and/or above;
- Transdisciplinary; and
- Involving collaborations with other institutions, industry and/or civil society.
- The proposal should include one Project Leader each from Malaysia and UK, submitting only one application. The project duration is 24 months.
