Clinical Research Malaysia (CRM) was established in 2012 by Ministry of Health to provide speedy and reliable end to end clinical research support quality studies where the focus is to bring Industrial Sponsor Research (ISR) to Malaysia.

By 2020 CRM has facilitated 191 mostly in the fields of oncology, infectious diseases, cardiology and endocrine speciality. Sponsored clinical trials provide and opportunity to the study participants to try a new and expensive drug that may benefit then and the whole community.

Any specialist or consultant who own the GCP (Good Clinical Practice) certificate is encourage to register with CRM for a possibility to get involved in an industry – sponsored clinical trial.

Registered clinician may be contacted to participate in an existing or new clinical study as sub-investigator. Any investigator who performed well could be approached by CRM for future studies. This usually begin with the questionnaires to access you and your facility eligibility and it has to be submitted before a deadline (feasibility study). Then the sponsor or a representative/ contract research organization will approach you and your site for further evaluation if feasibility assessment was successful. If selected, the investigator will be awarded as a primary investigator (PI) and CRM will facilitate the PI in the research project management such as study budgeting, clinical trial agreement underwriting, data collection and etc.

If you are interested to register with CRM as a clinician investigator you can contact Ms Nur Ain at nur.ain@clinicalresearch.my for any query and latest form. Example of the form is shown below.
