Professional Services

The department of Pathology provides diagnostics and consultancy services in the following disciplines of pathology:

Haematology
Histopathology
Cytology
Chemical Pathology
Transfusion Medicine
Immunology

Provides training for Medical Officer, Scientific Officer, Medical Laboratory Technologist, undergraduates and postgraduates training in various disciplines of pathology.

SERVICE HOURS

The department provides 24-hour service for identified diagnostic testing in the Integrated Laboratory and Transfusion Medicine Unit.
The other laboratories (Cytology, Histopathology, Specialized Haematology, Specialized Chemical Pathology, Immunology, Molecular) provide diagnostic testing during office hours from 8.00 am to 5.00 pm.
A medical officer and pathologists are on call for consultation or assistance after office hours.
