DEPARTMENT OF OPHTHALMOLOGY

                

The Ophthalmology unit was established in 1998 under the Surgery Department with the commencement of the first clinical batch of UPM medical students. The department occupied two levels in the Nurses College Complex of Kuala Lumpur General Hospital (KLGH), while simultaneously operating an eye clinic in Cabin Porta in Kajang Hospital. In 2006, the Ophthalmology Unit of UPM moved to the newly opened Serdang Hospital and ceased its operation in both KLGH and Kajang Hospital. With the establishment of HSAAS in 2019, the whole eye services are poised to expand its operation under the new state of the art facilities
