The Department of Pharmacy is a department that provides pharmaceutical services conceptually comprehensive pharmaceutical care. The service involves a wide variety of clinical pharmacy services with the aim of improving the quality of service, care and treatment received by patients.
The services can meet the needs of various departments and other medical units in terms of dissemination of pharmacotherapy information, optimal and rational use of medicines through the involvement of pharmacists in the process of preparation, distribution and control of other medicines and pharmaceutical products. In addition, the Department of Pharmacy also provides information to those who prescribe (ex: doctors and medical assistants) and those who use (example: patients) pharmaceutical products. Thus, patients can increase their understanding and information about the medicines used so that the effectiveness of the therapy in treatment can be improved and protect the public from the harm of the drugs while using them.
We are responsible for supplying and managing all aspects related to medication use for both inpatient and outpatient (ambulatory). These include clinical pharmacy services such as Therapeutic Drug Monitoring (TDM), Total Parenteral Nutrition (TPN), patient counselling and etc. The mission of the Pharmacy Department is to ensure that the public has access to quality,safe and effective pharmaceutical and healthcare products including advice on their rational use. Optimal drug delivery to all patients is to ensure that their healthcare is high-quality and cost-effective.
